The Associationstates “The top priority for newly engaged couples is finding the perfect venue for their wedding reception” The TBBA has a long list of testimonials and is committed to providing the very best the area has to offer making it a perfect fit with the family of Catering By Saffron’s.     During the month of March Chef Jackie and the staff of Catering by Saffron’s are the exclusive caters for the AKA Debutant Ball to be held at The Coliseum in Downtown St. Petersburg.  They will be serving up a three course meal to over 600 hungry well dressed attendees.  Who no doubt will enjoy the food as much as their special evening. New Menu on line today,

I am so excited that our new Cuisine of the Sun menu is finally up on line with the many new creations from the kitchen reflecting cuisines from the Mediterranean to Thailand.  The menu is very sauce driven offering over 35 sauces to choose from including the all time favorite Saffrons house made jerk, available by the bottle.

There are many more exciting changes happening to the web site as the talented young men from Interactive Studios weave their magic.

Catering by Saffron’s has a new menu! Here at Catering by Saffron’s we not only cater to just Caribbean cuisine but now “Cuisine of the Sun.” The new menu options represent a world-cuisine that promises to tantalize

We kept many of the old favorites and included some new choices as well.

 

Some of the new choices include:

 

 

Portabella Brochette

Portobello Mushrooms grilled and tossed with basil and tomatoes in a light marinade flavored with garlic and herbs.

 

 

 

Avocado Shrimp Salad

Large cooked shrimp seasoned and served in a light homemade dressing of avocado, lime, garlic and cilantro. (Available as a main salad)

 

Guava Beef Empanadas

Sweet guavas, spicy beef wrapped in a crunchy outer shell make this Latin treat a wonderful addition to any fiesta. (Alternatives available with chicken or vegetarian)

 Catering by Saffron’s has a new menu!

 

There is always something new happening at Catering by Saffron’s. We have expanded our menu, not only do we cater to Caribbean cuisine but now “ Catering by Saffrons Cuisine of the Sun.” There’s new and exciting menu items from across the world. The new menu options represent a world-cuisine that promises to tantalize and satisfy most appetites.

 

Some of the new choices include:

Superbowl Big Business for Catering by Saffron’s!!

 With the New Year and the holidays behind us Catering by Saffron’s geared up the Superbowl in Tampa. Superbowl week was a big success for Catering by Saffron’s. The festivities of the week started off with The Ebony Fashion Fare VIP’ event at the Coliseum in St. Petersburg. The event was a hor D overve party held before the fashion show. We served up such delights as our renowned Island Showpiece, Curry Meatballs along with a new addition to our menu our Lime in da Coconut Chicken bites; white meat chicken marinated and cooked to tender perfection in Chef Jackie’s special cilantro, lime and coconut sauce.

Our next big event that week was the NFL Gospel concert that featured such performing artists as Mary Mary and the NFL gospel Choir. Catering by Saffron’s was chosen to cater dinner for the performers and there staff before the show. Much to our delight our fare was received with such comments as” We travel and are on the road so much its great to have a hot meal but this is truly the best food we have had”; and “Can I have another plate please”. Chef Jackie’s Famous Jerk Chicken and Island fish with Saffron rice had everyone cleaning their plates and looking for more. 

Our busy week ended up with the biggest of events as Catering by Saffron’s had been chosen early in November to be one of the choice caterers for the Official NFL Tailgate party before the big game at the Raymond James Stadium. Not only did our newly themed table display wow the crowd but our food spoke for itself. We served Chef Jackie’s Famous Jerk Chicken on skewers with grilled pineapple and our new menu addition Portobello Mushroom, Tomato Basil Brochette to over 11,000 hungry attendee’s, that kept our booth full from opening to close. Catering by Saffron’s food, service and all around professionalism earned us kudos from both the crowd and the NFL party planners alike. Due to this incredible feedback we have been invited to do the Official NFL Tailgate next year in Miami.

All in all it was an incredible month and we are only building on this success. Chef Jackie and the staff at Catering by Saffron’s continue our commitment to fantastic service, excellent food and creative and beautiful table settings. Not only is Chef Jackie is constantly creating new and exciting menu additions to add to our Cuisine of the sun menu but we can also create a specialized menu tailored to your flavor preference to make your next event, no matter the size special and as memorable. “An Evening in

Chef Jackie is committed to share her knowledge and experience to with the public with her monthly cooking class at Eckerd College. In addition to this Catering by Saffron’s will be offering the newest trend in get tog ether’s between friends and collogues and dates night are to have an evening in and learn how to cook a new dish, create a meal together and enjoy your work over a glass of wine.
